Had a great time playing the Johnson City Jazz Festival this weekend with my longstanding trio with Zack Page and Michael W. Davis. This is their third year and the operation is running smoothly thanks to Bill Perkins and the crew at the Carnegie Hotel. Was nice to meet Mary Louise Knutson, who took the stage after me. Great things are in store for the Johnson City jazz scene if Bill keeps moving at this pace.
